I believe that community is essential for spiritual growth and personal development. That’s why the Washington New Church offers a variety of groups for you to get involved in and connect with others who share similar interests and beliefs. Whether you’re looking to deepen your understanding of the Word, build stronger relationships with others, or simply have fun and make new friends, we have a group for you!
Monday Night Reading Group
If you’re interested in reading and discussing the Heavenly Doctrines, our Monday Night Reading Group is the perfect place for you. This group meets every two weeks online and is currently reading True Christian Religion. Join us for lively discussions and thought-provoking insights into New Church doctrine.
Married Couples Group
Marriage can be challenging, but it doesn’t have to be. Our Married Couples Group meets once a month in person to positively support one another in marriages, discuss doctrines related to marriage, and occasionally share a meal together. Join us for a fun and supportive community of couples who are committed to building healthy, lasting marriages.
Music Team
Do you love music? Our Music Team meets every Wednesday night to play instruments and sing together, preparing music for Sunday worship and special events. Join us to develop your musical skills, express your creativity, and be part of a vibrant and talented group of musicians.
Volleyball
If you’re looking for a fun and active way to connect with others, our volleyball group is the perfect choice. They meet mostly on Wednesdays to play volleyball and enjoy the great outdoors. Join us for some friendly competition and lots of laughs.
Fire Circle
Our Fire Circle group is a casual gathering outdoors at church every Wednesday night. Join us to share stories, enjoy the warmth of the fire, and connect with others in a relaxed and informal setting.
Morning Bible Study
I’m excited to announce the formation of our new Morning Bible Study group! This group will meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on interest and availability, and will begin by studying the life of David in the books of Samuel through to the beginning of the 1st Book of Kings. Join us to deepen your understanding of the Bible and connect with others who share your interest and better understanding the Lord’s Word.
